Lesvos Stage Two
Stage two is the name of the transit camp on Lesvos. Since instalment of the EU-Turkey-Deal the number of asylum seekers arriving has drastically
dropped. However people coming from so called safe countries of origin like Afghanistan are still forced to risk the perilous crossing of the Aegean
Sea. Only with the exertion of the international community, governmental and non-governmental institutions are able to provide a bare minimum of
care. For all that volunteers on Lesvos are facing the same risk as in the central Mediterranean Sea of instituted criminalization.
